Air is not a luxury, it is a fundamental right

Industrial Burden

Alsen is a small rural community in East Baton Rouge Parish surrounded by over 30 chemical producing hazardous waste facilities., 4 Super Fund Sites, and a private landfill in the middle of the community. All of these facilities contribute and exacerbate the negative health impacts that the community residents have to endure.

We are advocating to hold our leaders accountable and fighting for collaborative solutions that will provide clean renewable practices in communities disproportionately burden with hazardous chemical facilities.

The Alsen Mini-Documentary debuted at the K20 film festival in New Orleans, Louisiana. The documentary is the collection of research from the eyes of our young adults.
